HCI is performing construction management services from managing the general contractor, special inspections, and 3rd party quality control staff to align with the Client’s expectations in the delivery of the project. At the onset of the project HCI established and implemented project controls including document control procedures with the General Contractor and the Design Team, plus project schedule review and monitoring for buy-in by the Client. HCI’s project management and estimating team have diligently engaged in cost control by managing the construction budget through change order entitlement analysis. HCI’s meticulous change order review is supported by our knowledge and enforcement of city contract requirements. This, combined with HCI’s access to current industry labor and costing standards, has significantly mitigated budget overages. The HCI team has been collaborating with the design team, city agencies and 3rd party inspectors to ensure the implementation of specific program needs and lessons learned are incorporated into contract documents. Services also include working with the General Contractor to complete project closeout requirements and ensuring internal partners are coordinated for operator occupation.
